Two possibilities for traveling by train with a bicycle
– On board all trains: folded or disassembled and stored in a cover, the bicycles* are accepted free of charge, subject to availability. Considered as baggage hand, the covered bike must be labeled and must not exceed the maximum dimensions allowed: 120 x 90 cm. – On board most trains, dedicated spaces that can be identified by the pictogram below, allow you to travel with a bicycle* (within the limits of Available seats) *Only standard bicycles are accepted on board the trains. The transport of “recumbent” bicycles, tricycles, tandems and trailers of any kind are not permitted.

TGV: Stops and departures via Perpignan In TGV: – Free transport of dismantled bicycles in a specific luggage cover of maximum size 120x90cm. – Paid transport of non-disassembled bicycles in a special area by reservation (€10 per bicycle). But not all TGVs have this space, check when booking. – Paid SNCF “Baggage at home” service which picks up the bike and delivers it to the desired address (€80 per bike).
In the intercités, if the bike is not disassembled, it must be installed in dedicated spaces. Sometimes the reservation is required and must be done at the same time as the purchase of the ticket. – Consult the timetables and locate the “Bike” pictogram. – On board each Intercité night train, a space is provided for transporting bicycles. – Reservation required (€10 per bike).
